Minister of Education Sports and Youth Affairs and SLPP's Matara District leader, Dullas Alahapperuma handed the Sri Lanka Podujana Permuna's nomination list at the District Secretariat Matara today morning.
The list contained the names of Minister Dullas Alahapperuma , former state Ministers Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena, Lakshman Yapa Abeywardena and Kanchana Wijesekera, former members of Parliament Niroshan Premarathne and Manoj Sirisena, former minister of the Southern Provincial Council Weerasumana Weerasinghe, former member of the Southern Provincial Council Sarath de Alwis and SLPP organizers Karuna Kodituwakku and Nipuna Ranawaka.
It is expected that the SLPP will win five of the seven seats in Parliament allocated for the Matara District.
