All faculties of the University in Oluvil have been closed until further notice due to an on-going issues, the registrar of the South Eastern University said yesterday.
Students attached to the Technology faculty launched a strike against the suspension of five students demanding the suspension to be reversed.
However as the university failed to reverse the decision the students then surrounded the administrative building.
The Registrar said as a result of the intrusion the administrative activities of the university were hampered and measures were taken to close all faculties as the university could not carry out any administrational activities for eight consecutive days.
However, students engaged in the protest claim that they will not end their protest until the unfair suspension of the five students is reversed.
