Speaker Karu Jayasuriya met Archbishop of Colombo Malcolm Cardinal Ranjith this morning (11) at Archbishop's House in Colombo.
The Speaker's Media Unit stated that the Archbishop had told the Speaker that he had high regard for the him due to the way he has fulfilled his responsibilites in the role of the Speaker and for the services he has rendered sincere service he has rendered over many years as a leader of the people.
Mr Jayasuriya also presented the Arbishop with a copy of his biography on the occasion.
