A special security plan is to be put in place owing to today’s protest march by the Joint Opposition, local media reported.
Security is to be set up around the Special High Court premises and Police Financial Crimes Investigation Division building.
Minister of Law and Order Ranjith Madduma Bandara speaking to local media said the Ministry had received information of possible mob attacks.
Further the minister noted that the government has ensured that all parties are free to demonstrate without inconveniencing the public and damaging public property.
