Sri Jayawardenapura University to be re-opened from next week onwards
The Sri Jaywardenapura University which was closed in the aftermath of the Easter Sunday attacks will re-open from next week onwards.
Accordingly, the re-opening dates for the respective streams are as follows:
- Faculty of Humanities & Social Sciences - May 08 (Students can occupy their hostels from May 07)
- Faculty of Engineering - May 20 (Students can occupy their hostels from May 19)
- Other streams - May 13 (Students can occupy their hostels from May 11)
Meanwhile, academic activities for external and postgraduate students will resume on May 11, Vice Chancellor (Acting) Senior Professor Sudantha Liyanage said.
