Several events were organised today to commemorate the 154th anniversary of the Sri Lanka Police.
Acting IGP C. D. Wickramaratne and Senior DIG Deshabandu Tennakoon participated at the event held at Gangaramaya Temple, Colombo, where 250 books each were donated to 10 selected schools in the Colombo district.
A blood donation campaign and distribution of dry rations to low-income families also were organised in parallel to the anniversary celebrations.
