The Ex- Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of SriLankan Airlines Kapila Chandrasena and his wife Priyanka Niyomali Wijenayake, arrested on allegations of money laundering in the re-fleet deal between SriLankan Airlines and Airbus were remanded until February 19, by the Colombo Fort Magistrate Ranga Dissanayake today.
Earlier in the day they r they surrendered to the CID .
On Monday the Attorney General instructed the Director of the CID to obtain an arrest warrant from court and to arrest the ex-CEO of Sri Lankan airlines and his wife.
The CID was looking for them earlier, but could not arrest them.
