Minister Vajira Abeywardena has lamented over the failure to uplift the standards of government bodies which has remained poor for a long time.
Addressing an event in Baddegama, Galle yesteday (Apr 07), the Minister observed that the standards of these bodies have not improved for the last 30 years.
Accordingly, he noted that the Prime Minister has called for a report on the shortcoming of local authorities.
This report would be utilised to rectify the errors and uplift the standards of such institutions, he said.
