The Special Task Force (STF) has arrested a suspect from the Pelawatta area in Thalangama with 1695 narcotics tablets.
Police said the suspect was arrested last evening (21) by officers from the Rajagiriya STF camp following a tip-off. The narcotics tablets and the suspect were later handed over to the Police Narcotics Bureau (PNB) for further investigations.
The suspect has been identified as a 34-year-old resident of Pelawatta, Battaramulla. He is due to be produced before the Kaduwela Magistrate's Court today (22).
