A Wagon R vehicle suspected to have been used in the recent shooting incident in Piliyandala has been recovered by the Special Task Force (STF).
Two people died while one was left injured in the shooting that had taken place on March 13. Police suspect that the shooting was carried out by two unidentified gunmen who had arrived in a motorcycle.
However, STF personnel today (Mar 20) recovered a van in Seemali Mawatte, Moratumulla which was also used in the shooting along with the motorcycle.
STF said that the two suspects in the incident had fled the area upon witnessing the arrival of the personnel.
Accordingly, a search operation is being carried out to arrest both suspects.
