Strict regulations on polythene usage during Sri Pada season
Solid waste including plastic water bottles will not be allowed to be taken to the sacred Sri Pada area, for this upcoming season the government news portal reported.
New regulations imposed on polythene by the government will be strictly implemented this season, the report claimed. Raids have been organized to check polythene carriers from Maskeliya town to Nallatanniya and along the pathway to the sacred peak.
