A suspect with heroin in his possession was arrested during a search operation conducted with the Mannar Narcotic Bureau in Mannar area on Tuesday, the Navy said.
Naval personnel attached to the North Central Naval Command with the assistance of the Mannar Narcotic Bureau, conducted a search in Mannar and nabbed a suspect in possession of 1100mg of heroin made ready to be sold.
The accused was identified as a 37 year old resident of Mannar. Meanwhile, the suspect along with heroin was handed over to the Mannar Police for onward investigation.
