A suspect who is believed to be the second-in-command of the Aava group has been arrested in Kokkuvil, Jaffna today (May 03).
Morgan Ashok, as he is identified, was arrested during a search operation which was carried out by security personnel this morning.
Security forces had discovered a galvanised weapon which was attached to the chain of the suspect's motorcyle.
The suspect has been handed over to the Jaffna Police for further investigations.
