The nine suspects who were arrested over the rape and murder of 17 year old school girl in punkuduhivu, Jaffna further remanded until July 13 by Kayts magistrate today.
Following the recommendations from the Defense ministry the Kayts magistrate B.Leninkumar ordered the police to carry out the investigations under Criminal Investigations Department (CID) for next thirty days.
The victim's mother and brother gave statements to the court over the incident. When the brother was giving statement he fainted inside the court and admitted to hospital later.
