Thai Pongal festival falls today
Hindus in Sri Lanka and throughout the world celebrate Thai Pongal festival today (14). As usual, the festival is being celebrated on a grand scale in the North.
Following are pictures of Thai Pongal celebrations in Vavuniya. Religious observances to mark the occassion were held at Vavuniya's Kandasami Kovil.
