The Colombo Additional Magistrates’ Court today ordered the Criminal Investigations Department (CID ) to initiate an inquiry against Former DIG Anura Senanayake and the team involved in the previous investigation of over over the murder of Ruggerite Wasim Thajudeen.
Additional magistrate Nishantha Peris also directed the Sri Lanka Medical Council (SLMC) to inquire the previous report submitted by the former Judicial Medical Officer (JMO) , Prof Aandnda Samarasekara and the committee took part in the investigation. The probe will cover as to why two and half years period was taken to submiott the JMO report by the former medical officer.
The case will be heard on January 7 with the submission of the report from technical team of Moratuwa University on the CCTV footage, along with other reports.
