Three suspects were arrested by Special Task Force (STF) personnel for illegally felling trees using a chainsaw at a reserve in Kebithigollewa last night.
STF officers had discovered felled trees worth Rs 1.2 million in the possession of the suspects.
Further, four chainsaws, two lorries, and cans of petrol were also nabbed from the suspects, STF said.
The suspects have been handed over to the Jaffna Police for further investigations.
