Three individuals were arrested by Special Task Force (STF) personnel today (Feb 16) for operating an illegal slaughter-house in Madurapura, Weligama.
STF personnel had discovered the body of a heifer cow and a bull calf which were found to have been slaughtered.
Accordingly, steps were taken to handover the suspects to the Weligama police station for further action.
