Fishermen have begun an indefinite strike here demanding the release of fishermen captured by the Sri Lankan Navy. The Sri Lankan Navy had arrested 16 Tamil fishermen from Pudukottai-Jagadapattinam ,Tamil Nadu on Monday night on charges of violating the International Maritime Boundary Line. The Lankan Navy took the Tamil fishermen and their three fishing boats to Kankesanthurai. Fishermen's Association President S Emiret said that the fishermen were fishing in Indian waters off Kodiakarai coast. (ANI)
