Congestion has built up along the Katunayake – Colombo main road near the Kapuwatte, Kandana junction cemetery as the traffic has been restricted to a single lane owing to a damaged water pipeline.
Police request motorists to use alternative routes wherever possible, to prevent traffic congestion from escalating further along the route. Repairs to the damaged water pipeline are currently underway.
