The new traffic plan in the Rajagiriya area that was implemented since last Monday, has been suspended, police said. The decision was taken due to the increase of traffic in the Bauddhaloka Mawatha and the vicinity due to the new traffic plan in Rajagiriya. While the traffic plan in Rajagiriya attracted heavy criticism during the last two days as commuters complained of an increased congestion, the new plan is reported to have bee successful in Maharagama Town.
