A tremor of 3.0 magnitude was experienced in the Trincomalee district around 12:35 am, the Geological Survey and Mines Bureau (GSMB) reported.
The tremor was recorded in Pallekale, Mahakanadarawa and Hakmana Seismic stations. However, it was further noted that no Tsunami warning was issued to Sri Lanka owing to the recent earthquake report in Trincomalee
