Two persons have been arrested for selling used sarees under fake labels, at a warehouse in Malwatta Road, Dehiwala.
The arrest had been carried out by the Consumer Affairs Authority (CAA) officers upon information provided by the Police.
Investigations have shown that the suspects had imported labels and packaging material from India and Pakistan prior to selling the sarees.
The suspects are due to be produced before the Maligakanda Magistrate’s Court.
