A lawyer and another suspect who were found guilty of being in possession of a narcotic identified as 'Ice' have been released on a surety bail of Rs 100,000 each by the Colombo Magistrates Court yesterday (Apr 17).
Three suspects were arrested in Kollupitiya yesterday over the possession of the said narcotic and were produced before Colombo Additional Magistrate Saliya Channa Abeyratne this afternoon.
Meanwhile, the other suspect was ordered to be remanded until April 25 by the Additional Magistrate during today's hearing.
The suspects who were released on bail have been identified as A.K. Mohamed Asni and M. Iqbal Krishnai. They are 38-year old residents of Puttalam.
