Two Indian nationals who engaged in business breaching the immigration and emigration rules, were taken into naval custody during a special raid carried out at Lankapatuna area in Trincomalee yesterday, Navy said.
Accordingly, the two Indians who had arrived to Sri Lanka on tourist visa, were selling textile items in Lankapatuna area. Along with the suspects, 41 Nos. of salwars possessed by them were also taken into naval custody. The apprehended persons were identified as the residents of Tamilnadu in India and they along with the stock of salwar were handed over to Lankapatuna Police for legal action.
