Two persons have been hospitalised following what is believed to be a gas cylinder explosion in Mahawila Gardens this morning.
According to the Fire Service Department, the two individuals had been admitted to the Colombo General Hospital with burn injuries.
An investigation is underway to determine the cause of the incident, police said.
A Sri Lanka Air Force Bell 212 helicopter belonging to the No. 72 squadron has crashed into the Madhuru Oya reservoir this morning, Air FOrce Media Spokesman Eranda Geeganage said.
