Two individuals including a police officer have been killed in a road accident in A9 road of Kankarayankulam, Vavuniya early this morning today, police said.
Police said that the motorbike the duo was travelling collided with a lorry parked along the A9 road early morning. Both were pronounced to be dead on admission to the Vavuniya hospital.
The police officer who is currently stationed in Batticaloa was on his way back to work with his friend after a brief holiday with his family. The police officer identified as Jayamoorthi Thisikanthan and his friend Nishan Janustan. (N.Lohathayalan)
