Pistols, ammunition and explosives discovered in Sammanthurai
During a cordoned search operation in Sammanthurai in an bandoned plot of land security personnel discovered two pistols, ammunition and other items.
The following items were discovered
2 pistols
171 T 56 ammunitions
T 56 cleaning tool kit
4 bags of Ammonium Nitrate
7 12-gauge shotgun ammunitions
Further in a house adjacent to the abandoned plot of land the following items were also discovered.
200 gelatnite,
45 metres det cord
Ammoniute Nitrate
200 detonators
Search operations are still ongoing.
