A Police Sub-Inspector (SI) and a Police constable attached to Special Task Force (STF) in Jaffna have been arrested over the recent shooting incident in Ariyalai, Police said.
A Special CID team sent from Colombo carried out the arrest after launching comprehensive probe into the incident. A 24 year old youth was shot dead by unknown persons came in motor bike and fled the area.
Ajith Gallage, the owner of a Bird Park in Nagarawawa, Hambantota, has been remanded over allegations of concealing illegally imported motorcycles, in a warehouse owned by him.
