Two youths who were arrested with three Rs.5000 forged currency notes have been remanded till July 11 after being produced before the Tissamaharama Magistrate's Court. The suspects were taken into custody on Tuesday (26).
Acting on a tip-off, Lunugamvehera Police raided the houses of the suspects at Unathuwewa and Devuramvehera,.making the arrests.
When questioned, the suspects had claimed that they had received the forged currency notes from an individual in Seeduwa.
Lunugamvehera Police are investigating.

Ajith Gallage, the owner of a Bird Park in Nagarawawa, Hambantota, has been remanded over allegations of concealing illegally imported motorcycles, in a warehouse owned by him.
