University staff to stage token strike
According to local reports a token strike is sceduled to take place tomorrow , Tuesday ( Feb 7) byThe Inter University Trade Union Joint Committee (IUTUJC)
A demonstration is to take place by the university non-academic staff in front of the University Grants Commission tomorrow afternoon.
The strike is owing to the lack of initiative taken by the commission to issue a circular to increase the staff’s monthly allowance.
