The United National Party (UNP) will launch a door-to-door election campaign from March 10 in line with the upcoming elections, UNP General Secretary Akila Viraj Kariyawasam said.
This decision was taken during a meeting held with UNP parliamentarians and ministers at the party headquarters yesterday.
The door-to-door campaign will include development programmes and interactive sessions with the people in a bid to resolve their problems, MP Kariyawasam told Times Online.
He also said that UNP leader Ranil Wickremesinghe will accompany the parliamentarians to visit with the people in their respective areas.
Commenting on the project even further, MP Kariyawasam said that the first phase of this campaign will take place in Kalutara on March 10. These campaigns will be extended to the Bulathisnhala, Horana, and Beruwala areas following which it would be carried out across the country.
