Update: 20 remanded over weapons and ammo found at Mt. Lavinia Courts

All 20 suspects arrested in connection with the discovery of arms and ammunition at the Mount Lavinia Magistrate's Court have been remanded till March 13. They were remanded after being produced before the Mt. Lavinia Magistrate's Court this morning. 

Court proceedings were halted yesterday when a Chinese-made pistol and a revolver together with 10 rounds of live ammunition were found hidden in a parcel inside the court. 

Police say both firearms had been fully loaded and ready for use when they were discovered.
