The United People’s Freedom Alliance (UPFA) has won in the Hambantota District and managed to secure 4 seats, according to the final district results released a short while ago. The UPFA has received 196,980 votes (53.84%) while the UNP with 130,433 votes (35.65%) and secured 2 seats in the district. The JVP has polled 36,527 votes and secured one seat in the district.
