The US Embassy has reminded US citizens in Sri Lanka of the Level Two travel advisory issued after the terrorist attacks, in line with the upcoming holidays in the country.
Issuing a security alert, the Embassy stated that "terrorists may attack with little or no warning" places of public gathering.
The warnings come against the backdrop of explosions which took place in Thailand yesterday
The Embassy listed out the following places as possible target areas - tourist locations, transportation hubs, markets, shopping malls, government facilities, hotels, clubs, restaurants, places of worship, parks, major sporting and cultural events, educational institutions, airports, hospitals, and other public areas.
