The Ministry of Transport Services Management announced that the validity period of every Driving Licence, issued by the Commissioner General of Motor Traffic under the Motor Traffic Act, which expires within the period of 16 March -15th April has been extended till June 30, an Extra Ordinary gazette issued by the Minister Mahinda Amaraweera said.
Earlier, the Department of Motor Traffic said that issuing of Driving Licences put on halt temporarily considering the current Coronavirus- COVID- 19 possibile outbreak situation and avoid larger crowd gatherings within the department.
