Water supply has been cut-off to certain areas in Colombo today (Nov 18) due to damage in a supply line carrying water from the Ambatale Water Treatment Plant.
The affected areas are Maligawatte, Maligakanda, Maradana, Fort, Pettah, Chittampalam A Gardiner Mawatha and D.R Wijewardena Mawatha, the National Water Supply and Drainage Board (NWSDB) said.
Meanwhile areas which will receive low pressure water supply during this period are Colombo 3, 7, 8, 12, and 13.
The NWSDB stated that its officers are attending to the leak in the supply line and that the defect is expected to be repaired by evening today (Nov 18).
