Week-long operation to clear Salawa debris

About 20 tippers will be deployed for one week to clear debris from houses in the Salawa area in Kosgama that were affected by the explosion at the ammunition dump. This follows Cabinet approving a proposal by Minister of Provincial Councils and Local Government, Faizer Mustapha. 

A request has been made by the army for vehicles to clear away the debris. 

The tippers will be deployed utilizing the balance allocations from the funds released to clear waste accumilated in areas of the Western province following last month's floods.
