The further examination of witness statements in a case involving the 2012 Welikada Prison riots has been fixed for further hearing on November 22 by the Colombo High Court.
Former Police Inspector Neomal Rangajeewa, former Prisons Superintendent Emil Ranjan Lamahewa and prisons intelligence officer Indika Sampath have been named as the accused in the case.
The 2012 Welikada prison riots left 27 inmates dead and 40 injured.
