World Health Organization (WHO) will announce Sri Lanka an Elephantiasis Free country tomorrow in Colombo, Government Information Department said.
According to the WHO, Sri Lanka is the second region in South Eastern Asia, which eliminated the elephantiasis subsequent to Maldives
Dr. Poonam Khetrapal Singh, WHO's Asian Region Director will hand over the official certificate from the WHO to the Health Minister Rajitha Senarathne tomorrow at BMICH.
