A woman was killed on the spot after she was buried alive under an earth mould that fell onto her house at a location in Pelenwatta, Piliyandala earlier today, police said. According to police the incident took place in poor weather during the early hours of this morning (Friday, 04, 2015). She was pronounced dead on arrival at the Homagama Hospital, police added.
A Sri Lanka Air Force Bell 212 helicopter belonging to the No. 72 squadron has crashed into the Madhuru Oya reservoir this morning, Air FOrce Media Spokesman Eranda Geeganage said.
