A youth has died after drowning while bathing in a canal in Dematagoda yesterday (Sept 24).
Police said the victim had died while receiving treatment at the Colombo General Hospital.
The deceased has been identified as 20-year old M.J. Mansoor Arshard, a resident of Dematagoda.
Further investigations are being carried out by the Police.
