Youth who posted content against Police on FB to be produced before court

News

A suspect who was arrested for posting content against the Police on Facebook will be tried before the Pitigala Magistrates Court today (Feb 19).

The suspect, a 22-year old was arrested last Sunday over charges of posting content against the Pitigala Police Division and the Police in general.

He has been identified as Sammi Dushan Chathuranga, a resident of Porawagama.

Pitigala police are conducting further investigations in this regard.
