The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has arrested former Senior DIG Anura Senanayake on the charge of allegedly withholding evidence, local media reported
The former Senior DIG was summoned to the CID to record a statement regarding the murder case this morning. Senanayake was questioned for a few hours before the arrest was made.
Senanayake was produced before Colombo Additional Magistrate Nishantha Peiris who remanded him in custody till May 26.
