The younger sister of Mohamed Cassim Mohamed Zahran, the matermind behind the Easter Sunday attacks was arrested by Batticaloa Police yesterday (May 01) in Kattankudy.
At the time of arrest Police said Mohamed Cassim Mohammed Riyaz Madaniya had in her possession Rs 2 million. On questioning it was revealed that Zahran had given her the money just days before the Easter Sunday attack.
Zahran's sister had previously condemned her brother's actions at a media gathering.
