In a bid to further its efforts to empower youth and develop sports in the country, NDB Bank partnered with the Bradby Shield encounter for the third consecutive year, as the Main Event sponsor for the Royal College Rugby Season and as well as the Official Team Sponsor of the Trinity College Rugby Season for 2023.
Trinity College Kandy hosted the first leg of the 77th Bradby Shield Encounter played against Royal College at Trinity College Rugby Stadium in Pallekele, with Trinity winning 13-10. Royal College defeated Trinity College 27-17 in the second leg, which took place at their home grounds. Royal won the Bradby Shield with an aggregate of 37 points compared to Trinity’s 30, the bank said in a media release.
NDB Bank Chairman Sriyan Cooray and NDB Senior Vice President Sanjaya Perera rewarded Thevein Perera of Royal College at the second leg of the match that took place last Saturday, the 5th, with an NDB Zee account for emerging as the ‘Player of the Match’.
