Sri Lanka Women's skipper Chamari Athapaththu slammed her second century in the series to lead Sri Lanka to a historic series win over New Zealand Women in Galle.
Athapaththu’s 140 off just 80 balls saw Sri Lanka chase down a revised target of 196 off 29 overs with eight wickets in hand.
Her innings included 13 boundaries and nine sixes. She was also involved in an associate in a record 190-run partnership with Nilakshi de Silva —a record stand for any wicket.
New Zealand scored 127 for 2 in 31 overs with Suzie Bates top scoring with 63 in a rain-affected game.
