Fast bowler Nuwan Pradeep Fernando is a doubtful entry for Sri Lanka's second Test match against Australia which begins at the Galle International Stadium on Thursday (4).
According to reliable information Pradeep has suffered a hamstring injury on Monday (1) and he may have to go through a fitness test on Wednesday (3), a day prior to the second Test.
After Sri Lanka's fast bowling armory being damaged with Suranga Lakmal's status, who is also injured, the present situation may open doors to uncapped Fernandos -- Vishwa or Asitha.
Left-arm seamer Vishwa Fernando, has played 44 first class games while Asitha, who is just 19-years-old, is a youngster who is just coming out from the Sri Lanka Under-19 side.
In addition to Pradeep and Lakmal, Dhammika Prasad, Dushmantha Chameera and Jeffrey Vandersay are also in the of injured.
