Sri Lanka named its Twenty20 squad for the upcoming two-match series against Bangladesh to be played at the R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.
Upul Tharanga continues his tenure as the skipper while the squad Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) selectors have opted to leave out top order batsman Kusal Mendis, the man-of-the-series in the ODI series.
Former skipper and speedster Lasith Malinga makes a comeback into the side while allrounder Sachith Pathirana too loses his place from the squad.
Angelo Mathews, who is yet to be called fit after his calf injury sustained during the South African series, too has been not named.
Opener Kusal Perera comes into the squad but his availability will be assessed after a fitness test.
Sri Lanka won their previous two Twenty20 series in Australia and South Africa.
The first match will be played on Tuesday (4) followed by the second game on Thursday (6).
