Masters Basketball Sri Lanka (MBSL) have been invited by the organisers of the Jupiters Pan Pacific Basketball Tournament of - Queensland Basketball to participate in this tournament to be held in the first week of November this year.
The tournament has been slotted to take place at the Coomera Indoor Sports Complex, a brand new venue built for the 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games in Australia, according to Dimithri Ramaneshwaran, the President of MBSL.
Ramaneshwaran further said that MBSL has been participating in this tournament since 2012 and the entries for the tournament will close on September 9, and it will be played in accordance to the FIBA rules with 2016 Jupiter Pan Pacific Masters Games By-Laws approved by the Queensland Basketball.
The tournament will be played for the age group of 30+, 35+, 40+, 45+, 50+, 55+, 60+ 65+, 70+ and 75+ for men and 30+, 35+, 40+, 45+ 50+, 55+, 60+ and 65+ for women said Ruan Dayananda, the Honorary Secretary of MBSL.
He further said that MBSL has confirmed its participation.
All basketball players who are keen to participate at the tournament are kindly requested to report at the Mercantile Cricket Association Basketball on Wednesday (25).
